First and foremost we cannot say enough good words about The Saintly Bible which is the longest running and one of the best Saint sites on the web. But this is rather splendid as well. Writer and researcher Jean-Marc Lofficier has produced this excellent illustrated history of the French Saint novels. And now he's extended it to the Dutch Saint novels as well. He obviously has way too much time on his hands. And we can't forget this splendid collection of Saintly stick-men. A wonderful collection of how the Saint logo has been used throughout the years! The Saint Club has a couple of mailing lists. There's The Epistle, which is a general chat list or The Saint Club News, which is a news based list that only the Hon Sec. of The Saint Club can post to with all the latest news in the world of Messrs Templar and Charteris. This is an interesting site if you like old movies. But why are we linking to it...? Perhaps this page is the answer...! The official web site of Saint Roger Moore Of if you want simply want to discuss the work of Saint Roger, then Simply Moore is the place to be. Then there's the official web site of Saint Ian Ogilvy. Or you could go to this one, which is the web site run by his American publishers. We know which one we prefer. And this is a rather splendid discussion forum on everything to do with the Saint and Leslie Charteris. And here's Amazon's list of available Saint books. But if we can, we'd rather get our books from The Saint Club. Sorry. We feel you should know. The Saint has a new job. Wikipedia is a rather splendid online encyclopedia compiled by anyone who cares to contribute. Like mosts encyclopedias it's interesting and useful but like most web sites, you need to take what you read with a pinch of salt. Here's the link for Leslie Charteris and here's the link for Simon Templar. The links between James Bond and Simon Templar are many. And here's another one, a rather good forum for folks interested in the adventures of both. An obituary of Leslie's friend and first biographer Bill Lofts. And another one, that since we had the privilege of knowing Bill, we think is right on the mark. Here's a discussion group for Saint fans on LiveJournal and a fan listing for the Saint book series. Part 1 of The Saint--okay, Roger Moore--Around the World; a rather splendid Polish site dedicated to Sir Roger and his work This is fun. Fancy driving a Jensen Interceptor just like Saint Simon Dutton? Try here. Are we missing a link? E-mail us...but please do check the site before sending us a link. A number of our favorite sites weren't active when we put this page together |
